At the end of June, CCIM hosted our yearly Summer Workshops and we had a blast! Students from around the Midwest joined us in learning new communication, media and journalism skills all the while finding new passions and making friends. 😎. So. what did you do this summer?

While orientation is wrapping up, the journey is only beginning for this year's class of incoming freshmen, and we couldn't be more excited for them to join us this fall. Welcome to the nest! 🪺

Finals week is in full swing, meaning we're just a few days away from Spring Commencement. How are our almost alumni feeling?

@bsu_sjsc Clayton also nominated Caldwell for one of this year's Panhellenic Association's (PHA's) Outstanding Professor awards, recognizing how his dedication and creativity has had a lasting impact on and shaped his students' academic and professional journeys. (🧵 4/5).

@bsu_sjsc "He pushes you to stay creative and reminds you that you are capable of anything," Clayton said. "He is such a great professor, and it's easy to admit that I look up to him!" (🧵 3/5).

As an assistant lecturer in @bsu_sjsc, Clayton said Caldwell is invested in his students both in and out of the classroom and makes lessons more relatable by connecting them to "everyday problems." (🧵 2/5).

Infinity scarves, crackle nail polish, and drawing mustaches on index fingers were all the rage for students at JDAY+/CCIM+ in the 2010s. While attendees this year don't consider those styles "on fleek," they do know that our conference "slaps." . See you Friday April 25, fam!

@bsuspeech In early April, the Debate Team earned multiple Top 5 team and speaker placements at NEDA's national tournament and had four students named in the Top 10 at the national British Parliamentary tournament. (4/4)

@bsuspeech They also set a record this year by winning their 15th consecutive team state championship. (3/4)

In the National Championship Tournament, multiple @bsuspeech members were quarter- and semi-finalists, and the team earned 3rd place in the Division 1 President Sweepstakes category as well as 8th place overall. (2/4)
