On 16.10.2025, troops of 89 Bn under @BSF_Guwahati rendered timely ambulance assistance to a pregnant woman in critical condition, ensuring safe evacuation from border village Kedar Pt-II to Govt Hospital, Golakganj. A true reflection of #BSF’s humanitarian spirit & dedication.

On 12.10.2025, as part of Fit India Freedom Run 6.0 (Swachh Bharat, Swasth Bharat), a Cycle Rally and Plogging Drive was conducted by 89 Bn under #BSF_Guwahati. Troops joined the event with zeal, highlighting #BSF’s role in fostering wellness, hygiene, and community spirit.

In relentless drive to curb transborder smuggling, vigilant #Bordermen under @BSF_Guwahati Ftr seized 33 kgs Ganja and 650 bottles of prohibited cough syrup meant for smuggling to Bangladesh, on Indo-BD International Border in Distt- Coochbehar (#WB).

Prompt & compassionate action of #BSF once again saved the precious life of a border resident. #BSF steadfastly stands shoulder to shoulder with the border populace, always ready to extend timely assistance, including facility of dedicated BSF Ambulance during emergencies.

Troops of 89 Bn #BSF swiftly rescued & evacuated Smt Nurbanu, r/o Vill–Kedar Adda-II, Dhubri (Assam), who was in critical condition due to severe diarrhea & vomiting. She was given first-aid and immediately shifted to DMCH, Dhubri under the care of BSF’s Nursing Assistant.

Displaying utmost vigilance, #AlertBSF troops under @BSF_Guwahati successfully thwarted multiple smuggling bids along the Indo-BD border, leading to apprehension of 02 smugglers, seizure of 20 Kg Ganja, contraband worth ₹1.58 lakh, and rescue of 20 cattle.

On 27.09.2025, a Tree Plantation Drive was organized at 157 Bn HQ under #BSF_Guwahati Ftr, with enthusiastic participation of BSF troops, Forest Dept, Police & Lions Club, reaffirming BSF’s dedication towards a greener and healthier environment.

On 24.09.2025, under the aegis of #CivicActionProgram, a Free Eye Check Up Camp was organised at BOP Bagunihat, 138 Bn #BSF_Guwahati. BSF medical team along with Civil Doctors provided treatment to 90 border residents, reaffirming BSF’s commitment to welfare and healthcare. #BSF

Today, troops of 150Bn #BSF swiftly rescued & evacuated Smt Hamida Khatun r/o Vill-Mantrichar, Dhubri (Assam), who was injured due to a lightning strike. She was immediately shifted to Govt Hospital, Dhubri, by BSF speed boat &vehicle. Swift response of #BSF saved precious life.

On 14.09.2025, 89 Bn #BSF of @BSF_Guwahati hosted students of Balajan HS School, Halakura College & Pragati College (Dhubri). They witnessed a weapon display, drill/demo &BSF documentary screening. The memorable event inspired youth, igniting pride &patriotic fervour in them.
