We are not sure how the flowers ended up on our sundial in the meeting house garden but they do seem to symbolise hope and peace.

A group of Quakers & non Quakers joined together to lay our White Poppy Wreath at the War Memorial on Angel Hill, Bury St.Edmunds on Sunday. We followed the more elaborate “official” ceremony but believe that our powerful silence & worship also made an impact @PPUtoday

Today people are resisting #ArmedForcesDay2024 across the UK. We've been highlighting what's wrong with #ArmedForcesDay. Don't buy the hype! #ArmedForcesDay normalises militarism and sees young children being given weapons to play with. https://t.co/gIhNDpenLY

Our meeting house was the venue for a packed Climate and Nature Hustings organised by the Climate Cafe and attended by all the candidates for the town. The hustings demonstrated that a debate on a very important subject can be carried out in a respectful and intelligent manner.
