Empowering young people to define their own narrative through filmmaking
Philadelphia, PA, USA
Joined October 2009
Had a wonderful time visiting with @BPAPhilly! Students have developed powerful shorts that uplift community work across our city. I'm so grateful for the programs at BPA that empower young people to define their own narrative through digital media. Can't wait to see what's next!

A few weeks ago we wrapped the thesis project The Dolla Party. Philly’s own Sherean Jones wrote and directed a special story about the nostalgia of teen dollar parties thrown in the city. We’re honored to executive produce this project. Learn more: https://t.co/4PFbUx9rE4

We are beyond proud of Bettina Escauriza, named one of The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage’s 2025 #PewFellows. Bettina’s work as a filmmaker and artist is inspired by the mundane and uses humor as a way to investigate, reveal, and imagine new possibilities within the everyday.
