You can discover and access almost 250,000 geological samples from the seabed and lakebeds using Index to Marine and Lacustrine Geological Samples (IMLGS) | NCEI ( https://t.co/dy8uYILn6Y). Samples are available directly from repositories globally. Just contact the Curator!

The legacy samples from @TheJR were scanned for down-core geochemical data using an Olympus Vanta pXRF mounted a @geotek_ltd MSCL-XYZ in our analytical lab @NOCnews . The cores are now boxed up and ready to be shipped back to our friends at the Kochi Core Centre.

Sad to see the @TheJR go? Its legacy lives on! @BOSCORF just logged over 500 m of core from Exp. 194 collected way back in 2001. Legacy core collections held by core repositories like ours are ready to be revisited and re-analyzed with modern techniques and fresh perspectives.
