Complaining sure gets the likes and retweets flowing. Ofc there's a place for it but the internet is already so saturated with cynicism.I think the actual hardest thing to create and succeed via creating are things that uplift.FK wasn't a bad attempt but I want to do better.

there's such a blatant difference between this and the latest cheater clip going around. like this guy is obviously very good but he's not snapping between enemies with single frame accuracy. he even accidentally aims at friendly players proving he aims at what he sees by reflex.

@strrrfckr "metagame progression" is specifically like call of duty where a leveling system strings players along with little upgrades to keep playing. many stop after reaching max lvl, which betrays the fact that the "real game" is unfortunately shallow and boring absent external incentive.

easy, simple, foolproof way to goodness and honor. aim for truth with your words. not deception. when you find yourself shaping reality with words to suit your ends you need to stop. everyone always knows deep down if their words deceive. lies tarnish reality. just tell the truth.

these types of cheaters all have the same personality it's so easy to spot.
This is also a classic mentality of cheaters, having genuine good aim is a part of it. He gets off on people accusing him of aimbotting when he isn't, but aim matters far less than seeing targets before they see you, which is how he's actually cheating.

call me selfish but as an INDIE GAME MAXIMALIST, I much prefer indies when they're blowing decades of their lives on insane passion projects vs crapping out a bunch of little throwaway jam games on the off chance one of them gets a northernlion stream.

I actually like balatro but its success hasn't influenced indies positively. everyone wants to make a minimalist roguelite now. I guess this is what happens with successful outliers. like when FNAF made infinity money and indies only made shitty mascot horror games for yrs after.

we used to joke about this, but gambling mechanisms, metagame progression, interaction extenders, timewasting filler etc has all become so commonplace that most people genuinely just think that that's what videogames are now & get confused/angry when you say that stuff is bad.
