Glad to see @mylkldelectric is offering rebates on a wide range of electric vehicles. When I got my Chevy Volt, only the Nissan Leaf was eligible for a rebate.

I just learned the city of Lakeland is about to ban bicycles from Oak Hill Cemetery. I often ride my bike from home to the cemetery to visit the graves of my two granddaughters. They are next to the entrance, so this doesn’t really affect me. Still, it’s angering.

Just voted in the Lakeland special election. At almost noon, the workers at this site for three precincts said turnout has been slow. Two other voters were in the room while I was there. @RPFundingCenter #voting #electionday

I noticed that The Kings Church is now holding Sunday services at a bar in Dixieland. Which affirms Jimmy Buffett’s saying that there’s a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning.

Hey, #lkld folks, can we put a moratorium on saying “let’s taco bout” when writing about Mexican food? It was a little cute the first time, but it’s quickly become a cliche. Rant over.

Actually, I think I know. Lots of people became familiar with web addresses about the same time they got used to file addresses, such as C:\desktop\filename, which do use backslashes. But that was, uh, more than a decade ago for most folks…

Why do so many people say “backslash” when they’re reading web addresses? Those are forward slashes, aka slash.

VOTING: A reminder that today is the last day to register to vote or change party affiliation in order to participate in the March 17 presidential primary. In Florida, only members of a party can vote in that party’s primary.
