Peanut, the world’s oldest chicken, recently passed away at 21 yo. Chickens are surprisingly resilient, as we saw with our own Peanut who had a broken leg and was rehomed by one of our lovely volunteers. What’s the oldest chicken you’ve ever known?

We’re so grateful for the funds that allowed us to build a new rehoming hub in Preston! As we make our way towards rehoming our millionth hen later this year, it’s hubs like this that make all the difference.
Eggcellent news 📣 @BHWTOfficial received £22k in 2022 towards a new rehoming hub in Preston. The finished building was proudly shown off during a rehoming day as hundreds of hens found new homes. Guess how many hens they estimate they'll rehome. 🥁 2,500-3,000 hens yearly 🙌
