BC’s HEALTH HR STRATEGY Gratingly, its subtitle is ‘putting people first’. Millions of #BC residents would attest to the untruth of this statement because they personally have suffered years of govt neglect as the #healthcare system has collapsed. https://t.co/UypzRi24qz

But even that progress has been undermined by the growing crisis around us. READ MORE on link above. We must choose to spend our time and energy on efforts that lift others up, not tear them down. That is what we’ve always tried to do—and what we hope others will continue. 6/6

After four years of tireless advocacy, we find ourselves at a breaking point. A critical shortage of volunteers and funds, combined with the Ministry of Health’s continued refusal to even acknowledge our existence, has made it nearly impossible to continue. 2/6

@johnsemalhuis @TuraEmanuela Yes, my patients thought I was paid at least $100 per visit when polled, 5 years ago. They also were incredulous that we had to buy the syringes, BP cuffs, etc, ourselves. Education of the public by ourselves and @BC_GP_Shortage has helped +++
