Tickets for the BCHS Varsity Football game at Fluvanna, scheduled for 7:00 PM on Friday, September 5, 2025, can be purchased online at for $8.00 (plus processing fee) for Kindergarten and Up. Tickets will also be sold at the game for $10.00.

Buckingham County Public Schools will operate on a two-hour delay tomorrow, Monday, January 13, 2025, to allow additional time for roads to be safe for travel. Thank you for your understanding, and please drive carefully.

Buckingham County Public Schools will be closed tomorrow due to icy road conditions. 12-month employees should report to work on a 2-hour delay. The safety of our students, staff, and families is our top priority. Please stay safe!

Due to some secondary road conditions and a heating issue at the elementary school, Buckingham schools will be closed again tomorrow, Wednesday, January 8, for all students and staff. Thursday, January 9, will be a teacher workday. All students will return on Friday, January 10.

The Buckingham County School Board will be holding a special meeting on December 4th at 1:00 p.m. at the Maintenance and Transportation Complex with the Virginia School Boards Association for the purpose of beginning the process of searching for a superintendent.

The Buckingham County School Board will hold a public hearing for the purpose of obtaining input on the FY25 Salary Scales at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, in the Cafeteria of Buckingham Middle School.

The Buckingham County School Board meeting scheduled for June 12th at Buckingham County Middle School has been moved to 2:00 pm.

Buckingham County Public Schools will dismiss at 12:30 PM today, May 20th, and tomorrow, May 21st, as they are the last days of this school year. We hope you all have a wonderful summer break!

The Buckingham County School Board will hold a special closed meeting on Monday, April 8th, at 5:00 p.m. in the Cafeteria of the Buckingham County Middle School. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss public contracts.
