Insane aurora around 11pm today in Coquitlam, BC. Was visible for a good 30 minutes and was very active. First time I saw aurora overhead and with color. The fact that it spread out across the whole sky was super cool. #bcstorm

Sir, are you lost? CAPE (Convective Available Potential Energy) is very high for our area/standards tomorrow. Embedded Thunderstorms throughout the day are a possibility all over Metro Vancouver tomorrow. Wouldn't be surprised if one of us records an entire month's worth of

Heads up Northern Chilliwack! Strong thunderstorms are approaching, may fizzle out as it moves into the low lands but be prepared for small hail, lightning and heavy downpours in the next coming hour if in the area! No severe threat likely. #BCstorm⛈️

Northern cities have the best chance of seeing lightning. If cells can last until they reach the lowlands, expect possible heavy rain and a couple strikes of lightning. Nothing strong/severe is expected. No hail likely.

Non-zero threat of T-storms in the next coming hours for northern portions of #Vancouver and the lower mainland. T-storms are moving along the north shore mtns and are moving south into the lowlands. Nothing may happen, forecasts are very uncertain. #bcstorm

HRRR shows a chance for T-storms for the north shore mountains into the LM Monday night. Still some uncertainties for the lower mainland... may get nothing across the lower mainland or we could get strong storms that even sustain thru the border. More accurate info tmrw. #bcstorm
