Some of our greylag geese have different wings due to a condition called 'angel wing'. Although it is not ideal, the geese do not have ‘broken’ wings and are not in immediate danger. Many have lived on for years here at Black Park and be assured we do keep an eye on them.

…We believe this is a section from a pair of old brass binoculars/opera glasses dating around 1900-1913. They might well have been perfect for viewing from say… the top of the old column that once stood in Temple Gardens, Langley Park!

History Quiz! This little historical artefact was recently found in the Temple Gardens, very near to the Temple Base in Langley Park by one of our rangers. It is made of brass and we believe dates to around the early 1900's. Can you guess what it is? Answers back here on Monday!
