Monday, June 2nd, saw the return to revenue service of our ex South African Railways NG15, no 123, albeit on a test train, hence the diesel assistance. She's seen here climbing the long grade north out of Whiteman Village Junction, with the drizzle on the day playing havoc with

Our ex South African Railways NG15, no 123, for the first time in 14 years, successfully completed some mainline tests last weekend. Well done to the locomotive department! #bennettbrookrailway #whitemanpark #swanvalley

I should really post on here more often! In any case, here's a photo of the progress on our ex South African Railways Ng15 class, no 123. Steam test coming soon. Not far from returning to traffic!

Trackwork is a mundane but essential part of running a railway. Recently, it was discovered that the sleepers beneath one of our occupation crossings had deteriorated. These sleepers were replaced on the 6th and 7th of June. Thanks to all our volunteers who assisted with this

Our little green tank engine, BT1 'Betty Thompson' has had it's brake system modified, so that it operates much more quietly. If you go to the description box of the video linked below, you can hear what it used to sound like before modification by clicking on the video link

Our green tank engine, 0-4-2T 'Betty Thompson' has had some mods made to her braking system, making her operation much quieter. Enjoy the sound of her exhaust in this video as she climbs the grade north of Whiteman Village Junction station. #bennettbrookrailway #whitemanpark

Volume warning! A small locomotive with a big sound! One of our smallest locos, petrol mechanical 0-4-0 'Yellow Rose' tried a set of Nathan P3's on for size. I'm sure the noise will turn some heads! #bennettbrookrailway #whitemanpark #swanvalley
