He is interested in aesthetic outlets like fashion & beauty. He enjoys traveling and getting to know different cultures, and chatting with his friends over a bonfire. His favorite memory at BASES was sharing s'mores with other officers. He's so pumped to help BASES thrive!

As summer is coming to a close, so is the BASES Summer Spotlight. Last but not the least, we have Juan Pablo Pacheco as our spotlight! Juan Pablo is a student passionate about the intersection of social responsibility (especially mental health), tech like AI & XR.

She stays involved with the Stanford Daily’s Tech Team, and keeps the marketing team running full-speed even over the summer with her energetic personality and relentless pursuit of the next great idea.

Diya is equally excited about literary theory as she is about discussing business strategy. She’s an Opinions intern at the Los Angeles Times (@latimes) and is pursuing a Venture Capital externship alongside that.

Diya Sabharwal is BASES Co-VP of Marketing. She loves creativity and exercising it through the dozens of writing publications she holds under her belt, the products she builds in her Computer Science classes, and crafting memorable messaging for BASES.

Outside of work, you will find Michael traveling, exploring nature, and trying out new restaurants. Michael’s favorite BASES memory was Frosh Battalion. Michael enjoyed listening to speakers, participating in team-building events, and working with his peers to pitch a startup.

Michael Sun is a rising sophomore from Hong Kong studying Computer Science. This summer, Michael is interning at a Private Equity firm in Hong Kong focused on tech investments, and at Tencent where he is working with their Quantum Lab to develop quantum computing software.

In her free time, she loves frolicking around the city (and being an unapologetic tourist) with her friends. Her favorite BASES memory was the Frosh Battalion startup competition. She enjoyed seeing how fun and clever the teams were and can't wait to meet more inspiring students!

Iris loves exploring new places to eat, photography, and the outdoors. She is interested in the intersection of STEM, business, and social impact. This summer, she is working at McKinsey & Company in their New York office as a Business Analyst Intern.

This summer, she is working at Nuveen investment management in their Los Angeles office as a Summer Equity Research Analyst. Lily’s favorite BASES memory is hosting BASES Special D last winter. She found it inspiring to hear diverse conversations throughout the Special D!

Today for the Stanford BASES Summer Spotlight Series, we are featuring Lily! Lily Bailey is a junior majoring in Management Science and Engineering with a minor in Computer Science. Her interests lie at the intersection of technology, business, and social impact.

He'll never forget sitting on those giant rubber ducks passing out flyers in Meyer Green with the rest of the Startup Development team. Justin is looking forward to his 3rd year in BASES and knows this one will be even better than the last!

Outside of work, Justin is either at the pool with Club Swim, playing chess with his friends, or learning how to sing. Justin's favorite BASES memory would have to be hosting the annual Startup Career Fair last fall.

Justin is a rising junior who loves all things CS, Math, and Art. This summer, he is working with Stanford Medicine and the Stanford Virtual Human Interaction Lab to develop an educational skincare app for middle school students.
