A slight whimper comes from the hound as he's lifted into his owner's arms. Brown irises look up at him sleepily.
He sets his supplies near the table in the med bay, then returns to gently lift the dog and take him to the table. "I suppose it's my own fault," he admits. "I should've been watching you closer.".

Ace watches Bruce scurry around for the supplies to patch him up, head laying against his dog bed that was likely going to either need a very deep cleaning or to be thrown out. His eyes convey the pain well enough, but more so the apology for hiding. Instincts were hell.
"Oh, ace. why didn't you say anything?" He hurries to grab supplies to patch up the hound. "You were just going to lay here and bleed out?".

Lifting his head at his owner's call of his name even despite the pain he'd been feeling since they'd returned from patrol. A small whimper comes from the ever-loyal hound as he slowly rolls over, exposing the stab wound on his stomach.
"Ace," he speaks sternly, "You're hurt. I can smell it on you.". He never finds the need to hide his vampirism around his loyal dog. It's not like the pup could tell anybody. And sometimes it's nice to just speak freely. "Let me see it.".
