the way people speak about humanities degrees is strange to me bc there are aspects of the humanities that are v essential for every profession. like, you can’t practise medicine if you can’t pass ethics. humanities is the link between what we know and how we use it in society.
Someone has to have the courage to tell us as black people at one point to stop studying useless degrees. We can't choose degrees like we come from wealthy families. Ke Bachelor of Arts ya eng geno ba tshepile wena?

to label certain degrees as useless when the unemployment rate is what it is so short-sighted, especially since we have doctors and engineers sitting at home as we speak. you can’t out-study a failing economy, you can’t out-invest in human capital when the structure’s broken.

adulthood is so scary because it’s so easy to fall into stagnancy when nothing feels like it’s working out.

i hate children who think they can get away with bullying, assaulting or being cruel just because they’re a rising star or an athlete.

oh my days 💔
A mother of a 16-year-old Milnerton High School pupil said it broke her heart that her son could survive cancer but could have died at the hands of fellow pupils. Her son was among nine boys who were savagely assaulted allegedly by a group of senior pupils https://t.co/DA1P0suR9g
