Those who ask how can Malema's Bodyguard be acquitted but Malema convicted? It's simple,the two charges are mutually exclusive. The evidence did not show the bodyguard firing the weapon in public.

I suspect Malema will be slapped with a fine and fully suspended prison sentence at worst, or a fine, 6months house arrest/community service at best. That community service may involve talks to youths in gang ridden areas about the dangers of gun violence...😂

That being said, threatening unrest if Malema is sentenced to prison and incarcerated (highly unlikely for a first offender) is just as juvenile. Malema said the law must take its course when Zuma was unjustly incarcerated by the highest court. Let us practice what we preach.

I agree with the verdict against the bodyguard, the evidence agqinst him also doesn't justify a guilty verdict. One can only hope the appeal court corrects the Malema conviction.

The evidence does not support a guilty finding, and even the judgment as was read by the presiding officer reflects it. How the court arrived at a conviction is mind-boggling and appealworthy.

Julius Malema's policy on illegal immigration does not inspire confidence,in fact it's appalling. But, that's a political issue that should be challenged with political tools not judicial tools. The integrity of the justice system must be preserved at all times.
