One of my favorite reseach assistants was 4 years old. He came to every supervision meeting with his mama and showed me our entire campus from his eyes. He was already an amazing 2-gen scholar and had a lot to say! Retrospectively, I wish I had given him his own research project!.
THIS is how simple it can be to remove barriers for student parents! (But imagine the devastation when the student doesn't have the support they need to make the meeting! We see this *constantly*).

This is the "simplified" version of what parents must navigate to pursue mobility and success through college and career pathways while sustaining and caring for their families. For policy makers and practioners who say its overwhelming & complicated, this is how families feel!
