“The normalisation of One Nation, through reality TV, breakfast TV slots and inclusion as a serious political player in Australia has been media-driven, dressed up as the people’s choice,” writes @AmyRemeikis, Chief Political Analyst. Read more: https://t.co/8CCB4Jyn4o

Great news! Aust’s renewables surge supplying over half national energy grid in Dec quarter. Prices plunge as coal hits new low driven by record renewable and storage output. Thank you Chris Bowen! #auspol

Record renewables and storage, falling prices and emissions, lowest coal and plunging gas delivers much needed boost for federal government's energy transition.

Don Chipp started the Australian Democrats in 1977 to keep politics fair. A party that stands for ordinary Australians. Almost 50 years on, we still stand for this. Accountability since 1977. #auspol #ausdems #democracy #accountability

Tasmania had a Lib minority Govt with Greens in balance of power at time of Port Arthur massacre. Premier Rundle invited Michael Field (Lab opposition) and I (Greens) to participate in immediate aftermath meetings with emergency services, to discuss gun laws, to visit wounded.🧵

Our thoughts are with the injured, their families and those who have lost loved ones because of this tragedy. On Sunday we issued several life-threatening orders for O- blood, in the wake of the incident at Bondi. Please make an appointment if you can. https://t.co/dGC0V7Cdsi

If you’re having trouble finding an appointment to donate blood, a donation in later weeks still matters. Blood from all over the country has been moved to Sydney to help the victims of Sunday’s horrendous terror attack against Bondi’s Jewish community - anything helps x

Ahmed Al Ahmed represents the true Australian spirit, one that runs towards danger when help is required. He is an Australian hero. He didn't hesitate to act because of someone else's background, he stepped up, and for that Australia is grateful.

It has been heartening to see all of those who have stepped up to donate blood after a call out from the Australian Red Cross. Aussies helping each other out. Every time there is a situation or crisis, people step up.

🧵Australia is a multicultural, egalitarian society, built on looking after one another and mateship. Unfortunately, in every society, there are always some people who are drawn to violence, hate and anger. #auspol #bondibeach #bondiattack

We will have more to say once the facts are at hand, but for now we share the grief and horror of the nation. #bondibeach #bondi #auspol
