I've signed @MarieCurieSCO's petition as I believe that end of life care is an issue that the next Scottish Government can't ignore. Will you join me, and help make sure that palliative care in Scotland is a right, not a privilege? #RightToPalliativeCare

Too many people in Scotland die without the care and support they need.

⚡SHOCKING! Lord Falconer says “pregnancy should not be a bar” to assisted suicide! After Lord Mackinlay (@cmackinlay) tells Peers that Oregon protects viable unborn babies from assisted suicide, Lord Falconer seems completely unmoved & unbothered about this issue.

J. K. Rowling, recently: "I appear to have a God-shaped vacuum inside me but I never seem quite able to make up my mind what to do about it ... I'll probably go to my grave with that particular personal matter unresolved." Catholic Twitter, you know what to do...

Q: I say, I say, I say: why were they all cool in the Vatican? A: Because the pope left the fanon.

This poor chap was ordered to pay £9000 for praying silently on a public street. Do drop him a few quid, if you can spare it, to defray the costs of this most unjust penalty.

Some useful background and commentary on the SNP's outrageous suspension of @JohnMasonMSP over perfectly reasonable comments. If it's a mere coincidence that he is consistently pro-life and critical of the 'progressive' agenda, I'm Napoleon Buonaparte.

@OnePeterFive My own sense is that traditionalists come in all flavours, but most are just attached to the old rite, don’t deny V2, and want to be left alone. I don’t know if, when, or why Rome might act, but the perceptions of meany traddies yearning for 1845 are in my view exaggerated.

Some personal news: we draw so much pleasure from reading and writing about all aspects of the ancient world, exploring the cultures of Greece and Rome, and sharing them with anyone anywhere who wants to listen. It's a free, and very freeing, joy. Do RT if you know what we mean!
