Proud to join my colleagues in advancing legislation to train the Judiciary in coercive control. As the prime sponsor of the original law, I am dedicated to ensuring the legislation works as intended and that our courts are trained accordingly to benefit victims and survivors.

The raw and moving testimony shared today in the Judiciary Committee made clear just how urgently survivors need a system that sees the full story. Two bills moved forward that take critical steps in that direction.

Relieved to see that families in New Jersey will finally receive the SNAP benefits they are owed. No family should ever have to wonder where their next meal will come from, and I thank everyone who stepped up to meet the need this past week.

.@SpeakerCoughlin met with NJ's food bank leaders for an emergency discussion on the unprecedented food crisis caused by the halting of SNAP funding. After the meeting, the State announced it was releasing $42.5M in accelerated food & hunger grants to help keep NJ families fed.
