10. I don't really miss X. At all. So I'm going to stick with the break. I might be back later. I might not. In the meantime, wishing you all the best in 2024 and beyond. 👋.

7. I've accidentally clicked a link to a tweet in a few articles and texts. That's okay. 8. I don't get constantly distracted by things that are sort of interesting, but largely irrelevant to my life. 9. I've spent a little more time on other social media platforms, but not a lot.

3. I replaced the X app on my home screen with my gym app. That feels like a better prioritization. 4. I do not get news as quickly as I used to 📰. 5. ☝️has not negatively impacted my life. 6. I miss some of the quick sports analysis. I'll try to find replacements 🏈⚾️🏀.

After Elon invited Alex Jones back on the platform, I decided it was time to take a break from X over the holidays. Here's what I found:. 1. I spend more time 😴, and less time doom scrolling at night 😳. 2. When I walk my 🐶, I pay attention to her rather than staring at my 📱.

It gets better! @billessayli was both a former staffer to Congressman Calvert and a former rules committee chair of the CAGOP. A staffer and an activist! Those in glass houses…

This is the problem with #CaLeg - @billessayli - whose wildly inflated sense of self leads him to believe he’s better than the masses who don’t have the elitist background & “accomplishments” he thinks he does, & who has zero respect for those who work tirelessly for our state.
This is the problem with #CaLeg, it’s filled with staffers and activists. We truly have a political class ruling over the People. Surely there are real people, with real jobs, and real accomplishments who are better qualified for elected office??.

Aimee and I had an amazing time celebrating our friend @Shannon_Hovis and her team at @reproforall a few weeks ago. So grateful for their work fighting for abortion access and reproductive freedom.

I joined @PuentePescadero and Del Campo al Cambio for an important discussion about the needs of farmworkers on the southern San Mateo County Coast. We must build more affordable housing and work to ensure all Californians have access to clean drinking water.

What a great tour from the San Mateo County Resource Conservation District showcasing promising nature-based solutions being used on the Coast to adapt to and mitigate climate change impacts, including flooding, wildfires & water security. @SenJoshBecker @Ray_Mueller_

It’s great to see all of the attention my media literacy bill - which received bipartisan, almost unanimous support in the legislature - is suddenly receiving. This is something that every state should do!.
California's K-12 public curricula will now include a mandatory section on media literacy, after a bill passed with nearly unanimous approval in the state legislature. Read more ⬇️.

This is a very sad day for San Mateo County. Don Horsley was a remarkable man and a tireless public servant who always focused on helping the underserved. He was always there with advice (spend more time on the Coastside!), but was never pushy. I’m going to miss him.

Wishing everyone a happy #Thanksgiving with family and friends. I hope you get some moments of peace and quiet to reflect on everything you have to be grateful for.

Always with an utmost respect for the Congress, the nation, and our democracy. Warm and encouraging to those around her. She’s been a role model for generations of others who have followed her lead, myself included. Thank you Anna! 🇺🇸.

My first political experience was interning for her as an 18-year old after my freshman year in college, and again a year later in DC (☝️). She embodies the best traits of a public servant. Smart, hard working, fair but also tough as nails.

It’s the end of an era. I’m so grateful to Congresswoman Anna Eshoo not just for what she’s done for her community throughout 40 years in elected office, but what she’s done for me personally. 🧵

“We have a responsibility to teach the next generation to be more critical consumers of online content and more guarded against misinformation, propaganda, and conspiracy theories.”. Thank you @TheBrennonD for your coverage of my bill #AB873 for the @latimes.
