#Donors that give to urgent causes are often motivated by a feeling of moral obligation, so do not assume your new donors know what you do. Take some time to communicate stories about the great work that you do, and the impact your organization has had in your community.

#Grant Tip: Timing can be everything. Some funders will support projects until funds are exhausted. If you wait too late in the cycle to apply, your worthy project may not receive support.
