Tindol Ford came to Ashbrook to visit the Automotive Classes.  The students were introduced to new Ford technology, careers in the Automotive Industry, and how to get started in the career pathway.

Students took part in the Women in STEM's seminar at the NASCAR Institute. They heard from a panel of speakers along with a campus tour.

Mr. Free's Accounting Class learned about all the careers in Accounting. The top 5 choices by the students were: Forensic, Environmental, International, Tax and Controller.

Ashbrook was excited to host its first Annual Junior Career Expo. We had 48 businesses and colleges in attendance talking with over 250 students.

So proud of two interns, Wesley Gates and David Ogden, for their hard work at Gaston Sheet Metal (GSM).

Ashbrook automotive students had the opportunity to learn and tour the Daimler, Mt. Holly facility. They enjoyed seeing the assembly of a truck from start to finish.

Intern For A Day with Gaston County -- Taxes and County Management. Students got to learn about property appraisals, collections, tax mapping and quality control.

Intern For A Day with Gaston County with Parks and Recreation -- Students got the opportunity to participate in a Senior Sensitivity Program to gain knowledge on what's its like to "Walk In My Shoes" as a Senior Citizen.

Intern For A Day with Gaston County at the library -- Students learned about what it takes to be librarian and all aspects of operating a library from exhibits and displays to book clubs to various community projects

Intern For A Day with Gaston County at Public Works -- Students got the opportunity to learn about renewable energy, recycling, solid waste and how the county landfill operates.

Ashbrook was able to take 23 excited students to the Gaston College Career Fair where they were able to meet with over 70 employers from Gaston County.

Our Entrepreneurship classes worked on a hands-on activity called the Wallet Project. They worked with a partner to create an "Ideal Wallet" just from listening and going through the Design Thinking Process.
