In support of the new Kentucky Academic Standards for Visual and Performing Arts, the KDE Division of Program Standards is working with our friends from the Appalachian Shakespeare Center at EKU to film a new implementation resource for educators!

One of the best parts of my job, highlighting art created by students and celebrating the teachers who provide them these opportunities in Visual and Performing Arts!.
Student art was set up today at the KDE office by the elevators on the 4th and 5th floors! Kentucky students created paintings on bourbon barrels, each one representing the region they live in. The art was recently shown at the KY Art Education Association National Convention.
