A lot of times it actually creates confusion for patients who are not equipped to make complex medical decisions and dilutes physician's responsibility.
One more thing: shared decision making has been a huge net negative in real life. We did not need this concept as it is inherent in proper doctoring. Always was.

Wide complex RBB tachycardia transitioning to narrow in the later part (restitution) TCL remains same during narrow and fast(VT & right sided AP ruled out). Rhythm is supraventricular, mechanism unclear with single trace, they gave amiodarone and the answer revealed. 👇👇👇
Middle aged male admittes to hospital with sepsis, tachycardia was noted on monitor, 12 lead ECG was recorded, BP 80/40 mmHg. What do you think?

Initially narrow complex short RP tachycardia (manifested as pseudo R in V1) with TCL around 380 msec likely AVNRT, then CL became double & obvious P midway btween RR because of 2:1 block at LCP, again becomes 1:1 with LBB abberency due to long short sequence.
