Going to make this into a thread of my dog’s greatest flushes.
I need to get my dog on a proper shoot, he’s got a nose like no other and me and my Dad have trained him pretty well for it being our first HPR. I think Guy Wallace himself would be ashamed if this boy didn’t get out on a hunt.

Dad lore. My Dad and my uncle both attended one of these shows when they traveled the US in the late 80s. He also attended Stevie Ray Vaughan’s final fateful show in Wisconsin.

Fucking hell here’s another young lad who doesn’t really drink. 23 year old and already a wife guy. What’s happened to people, it’s not like they replace drinking with a cool hobby either like some of my mates.

Last night I feasted on garlic prawn pasta, roasted garlic aioli dip with a dozen bread sticks and then at about half 10 I got peckish and done some garlic muscles. All washed down with cans of Murphy’s. Only had 3 hours of kip due to intense heartburn and dry mouth.

The average apprenticeship now is just 2 years, with most allowing an extra 3rd for “advanced” level but when Britian was still an industrial nation the standard apprenticeship was 5 years, I think my granddads on the ship yards was even longer. Doesn’t seem right.
