@ArmaniTalks Introverts are often misunderstood. More than that, INTP-As are treated as arrogant, like me, when all you want is to listen to people, analyze, and talk when you feel there is something really good you want to say. This is what is pushing me towards writing online.

You're playing office politics wrong. You are still operating with the 2005 mindset. Nowadays, it's not about backstabbing each other... it's about building strategic alliances and working on the right things. https://t.co/5p23blVdpc

Not to be the bearer of bad news. But the real world does not care that you had a rough childhood. You need to find healthy ways to process those emotions. 'And if I don't?' Then you'll have a rough adulthood.

Taking the High Road [THREAD] When I was younger, I always needed to have the last word. Needed to let others know how 'right' I was. Nowadays, I realize what a poor mindset that was and what a draining mentality it could compound into.

It's the nature of the dog to bark. However, it's the nature of the winner to move forward.

If it's extremely difficult to take the high road, then it may be a time to look at the mirror. There is a reason you keep getting sucked into petty shit. You can never get to your destination if you get distracted by every dog that barks.

That restraint is a workout for the internal world. Sort of like your inner body is lifting weights. The more weights it lifts, the thicker the skin. The thicker the skin, the less the stress. A byproduct of thick skin is more creativity.

Old school me would have felt strong physical sensations letting this guy off the hook so easily. Which is why letting someone think whatever they want requires a lot of restraint. Emotional impulses need to be tamed to show EQ.

oA discussion is all about WHAT is right. Unless Iβm getting paid to change someone's mind, then Iβll let them think whatever. That's my personal philosophy. The more comfortable you are with letting someone think whatever, the less you identify with opinions.

I sometimes wonder how anyone has time to write these big block paragraphs on the internet. But then again, it's probably because they don't have much else to do. So they confuse their back & forthβs as "making a difference." oAn argument is all about WHO is right.

When you lack any kind of purpose, you get sucked into these random tasks mistaking it as productivity. When you have a semblance of a purpose along with a schedule that requires you to show up, taking the high road becomes easy.

Well, for me, it was not taking the high road. It was taking the normal road. When I was a little kid, I didn't have anything else on my plate. My schedule was too free. Which made it extremely easy to get caught up in little back & forthβs like this.

Younger me would have needed to jump into the post with a response letting him know how wrong he was. Nowadays, itβs different. I read a bit of his block paragraphs. Closed my phone and went about my day. 'Why the mentality flip? Why take the high road?'

While the other levelheaded guy was trying to talk some sense into him with small succinct points. I briefly read the emotional guy's posts & could immediately notice the fault in his logic. It was so faulty, that it was almost embarrassing.
