Our Development Manager Phil Thompson has been contributing to @SP_ECYP Committee's deliberations of @mspliz 's Bill to make residentials a funded entitlement for all. Yesterday the Committee visited @SBroomlee . We hope they are convinced of the massive potential this could be!.
It's been an interesting & productive conversation with @SP_ECYP about the power of Residentials at @ArdroyOEC and other @AHOECUK providers. Final deliberations happen tomorrow with @mspliz , then they issue the stage 1 report. Imagine residentials being an entitlement for ALL!.

Primary 7 did a great job sharing their @ArdroyOEC experience at our showcase event. They presented to the primary 6 pupils and parents to provide information, and then again to their own families. They shared memories, videos, tips and skills gained and even gathered feedback👏

Aaand exactly half an hour later, @SinclairtownP are en route home! Bus departed at 1230. School will update parents with ETA as they head back to Fife.

Today we're posting an open letter to the @JohnMuirTrust, signed by 27 ex & current Ardroy staff. We're asking the JMT to reconsider the 'pause' in the John Muir Award. This was a key part of our environmental delivery, and is sorely missed. Full text at

Wow @TorbainPS what a fab idea! We're not sure of the canoes would float. (!) but what a great way to revisit all the learning from your residential a few weeks ago and discuss challenges overcome, key points etc. Brilliant! @SAPOE_org @CreativeSTAR.
Hey @ArdroyOEC - it’s us again! . P7a and P7c were set a challenge during Outdoor Learning yesterday to use the loose parts to recreate something from their time at Ardroy last week!. Children created Jacob’s Ladder, abseiling and even their own canoes and paddles! .🪜 🛶🌲🌳🪵🍂

Hey @ArdroyOEC! P7b were reflecting on their time spent with you last week using a ‘Making Thinking Visible’ activity called Colour, Symbol, Image. Children chose a colour, symbol and image that they felt best represented their experience, and gave reasons why. 🌲🌳🌱🌿🍂
