This is terrible news. CHBC used to be the Okanagan's 'must watch' nightly news... to see it dwindled to a handful of VJ's is so disheartening. So sorry to all my old friends and colleagues.
My heart goes out to former colleagues at @GlobalOkanagan and for the erosion of a trusted local news source. Multiple sources say the station will essentially be turned into a bureau with afew VJs filing for @GlobalBC. Everyone else is losing their jobs. #SaveLocalNews #Kelowna

In Greater Victoria, here are the areas where up to 10 storey mid-rise condo towers will be allowed near transit hubs: - The legislature - Uptown - UVIC - Colwood - Vic General - Camosun - Royal Oak
NEW - BC has introduced legislation that will allow condo towers of up to 20 storeys near SkyTrain stations, up to 12 storeys near Metro Van "bus exchanges" and up to 10 storeys in Victoria/Kelowna bus exchanges. Municipalities can also choose to go higher on their own.
