Dealing with @Hyundai Customer Care over a dead (12v) battery in my Ioniq 5 has been an extremely slow and painful experience. They’ve been asking me for additional information for 2 months now, and still can’t give me a straight answer on whether or not I’ll be reimbursed.

Jim Lovell was a personal hero of mine. He was larger than life. If you haven’t read it already, his book “Apollo 13” is a masterpiece.

In 1991, Hensley Meulens played 96 games for the NY Yankees, & put up -2.4 WAR while slashing.222/.276/.319. No matter how bad he did, the Yankees just kept sending him up there. I’m reminded of this because of how the Milwaukee Brewers keep starting Anthony Seigler at 3rd.

I often go to the Bay Area for work. It’s not uncommon to see people wearing full-on ski jackets when it’s 55F outside. That being said, as someone from Minnesota, it’s also hilarious.

Nobody talks about how successful John is in “Silicon Valley.” Everyone else continually crashes & burns. They win for fleeting moments, only to lose it all again & again. But John? He has a cushy job in a data center making $200k/year with steady employment & great benefits. 🤷♂️

Stack Overflow gets a bit of a boost today, because ChatGPT is down. They are also currently hosting their annual moderator elections. In years past, a couple-dozen people would run for moderator. now there's just 6. The slow death of SO will be studied for years.

The most "boomer" thing I occasionally have to deal with, is that my 68yo father doesn't know how to post a photo to Facebook from his phone or computer. So he emails the photo to me, I post it on Facebook while tagging him, and then all is right with the world. 🤣🤦♂️.
