Voices of Aphasia was founded in August 2023 by Co-directors and music therapists Denise Wong and Laura Cook. All VOA trustees are current members of the Bath Aphasia Choir and are people affected by aphasia.

VOA focuses on singing upbeat and enjoyable songs as a group, inspired by choir members' personal experiences of stroke and aphasia. The choir continues to provide opportunities to meet new friends, socialise with others with shared experiences, and foster a community of care.
