@DSA_LosAngeles How long will it be before all chapters of #DSA take the time to learn about disabled people, be able to say the word disabled and recognize our contributions to a society with justice? Until then, I will not join.

@DSA_LosAngeles I really have an issue with individual #DSA chapters not bothering to learn a thing about disability. Some @DemSocialists chapters get this right. I've seen literature from one major city chapter that called disabled people "sick and injured" instead of just saying disabled.

@DSA_LosAngeles @DemSocialists So @DemSocialists please put out a national disability policy made by your disabled members. Recognize disabled is not a bad word, please use it in your literature, especially policy! This community does a lot of online activism, we get things done together. Include us!

@AAidanbird @DSA_LosAngeles Sadly, that does not surprise me. I'm sorry.

@Aoiferocksitout @DSA_LosAngeles You realize that those of us who are disabled are capable of contributing far more toward movement building than tweeting, right? This kind of reductionist thinking makes me realize how very little folks think we are able to do.

@Aoiferocksitout @DSA_LosAngeles Your take is "disabled people can only tweet"
