For the past few weeks, we have been clearing some areas in the forest to bring back the Florida Scrub-Jay population. These birds love sandhills with low growing shrubs.

Solo 5: Occasionally, due to a change in wind direction, Air Traffic Control directs me to approach from the west and land at the helipad. This approach, in accordance with airport regulations, necessitates navigating the helicopter between two buildings. After numerous practice

Knocked out two more solo flights today. Was doing pretty good on my patterns until a flock of birds decided to ruin one of my approaches - so I had to abort one of the landings. Nonetheless, patterns look good for dead reckoning.

Solo! After eight months of rigorous training, studying, and successfully completing my FAA examination, I am finally flying solo today. Upon landing near Kissimmee Prairie, my instructor exited the helicopter and said to me, 'Alright Antonio, enjoy your flight and remember to

Several accomplishments yesterday! Flew from KISM>ORL>TPA>TPF>KISM. The three hour flight has been my longest thus far. Also flew with my first passenger. So that was cool too.

Awesome flight last night. Flew the chopper over I-4, the Orlando Eye, Universal Studios and Seaworld. In hindsight, I should have completed my nighttime requirements in the winter. Flying after 9pm, which is past my bedtime, was brutal LOL.
