UPDATE: I-79 north is back open.

RIGHT NOW: I-79 north is shut down just before the Big Chimney exit due to a tractor trailer crash. All the logs fell out into ditch and went through a guardrail. The driver is okay. Traffic is being diverted to the Big Chimney exit.

NEW: Kroger announces the new Kroger Marketplace at South Charleston’s Park Place will open in early June. While we’ve known this means the Riverwalk store will close - the company says the Dunbar Kroger will close as well in June. Employees will be offered positions elsewhere.
