Absolutely true - the science around cannabis and psychosis has steadily accumulated for 25 years - and the Dunedin and King's College researchers in particular deserve credit.
@JohnnyKStack Alex Berenson’s excellent book was a critical public service. The scientists who built the case (Andreasson, Hjorthoj, DiForti, Murray, D’Souza, many others) should be credited; without their scientific evidence, quoted by Berenson, only beliefs would remain.

Sure, benzos are terrible. Amphetamines are terrible. Ketamine is terrible. The prescription status of a drug is irrelevant to its abuse potential. Doctors are complicit here, and sometimes worse than complicit. None of that makes THC/cannabis any better.

No, it's mostly stuff like car accidents where people were high. Those are cannabis deaths. Similarly, direct deaths from alcohol poisoning are a tiny fraction of the reported 100,000+ alcohol death number. There are LOTS of cardiac cannabis deaths. Those we don't count at all.

@AlexBerenson Not sure who hurt you, but you’re full of shit, Alex. All of my kids will tell you that I’m a WAY BETTER parent following cannabis treatment. No more opioids, muscle relaxers, etc. I can walk again, I can think and speak. I barely shake anymore. I have my life back!!
