NEW: Gov. Greg Abbott has signed Senate Bill 17 and 18, according to Sen. Brandon Creighton's office. - SB 17 bans DEI offices + mandatory DEI statements/training at Texas public colleges and universities. - SB 18 makes adjustment to tenure policy in higher education. #txlege

Also, our Reproductive Rights Res was recorded in Fac Senate (having been passed unanimously at Fac Council). Along with other items, this is thus now official position of BSU faculty: "affirms individuals’ rights related to reproductive health & justice, including abortion...."
