Today at the confidence builsing conference 2025 organised by @WSR_Uganda, I discussed the environment within which youth operate, its inefficiencies and enabling factors & how youth can leverage the current operating context to promote democratic governance & peaceful elections
On the role of youth in promoting democratic governance and peaceful elections, the panel stressed the dangers of monetisation, the need for civic awareness & the power of young people to effect non-violent, peaceful change. #UGWomen4Peace

Discussions revealed alarmingly high rates of teenage pregnancies & child mothers in refugee settlements & host communities. This calls for urgent accountability & strengthened #SRHR & #GBV services to protect the rights of women & girls. Cc: @UNDPUganda @GlobalSpotlight @EUinUG
Today, with support from @GlobalSpotlight & @UNDPUganda, ICWEA is training CSOs in Arua & Terego to monitor SRHR & GBV services & advocate for better delivery, esp' for women & girls living with HIV, with disabilities, and those in refugee settings. #NameItToEndIt

It was an honour to share my thoughts about the appalling state of journalism in West Nile especially about the little representation and manner of representation of women, Persons With Disabilities and the elderly in the media.
What are the gains, what are the gaps; what actions can we take to accelerate gender equality in the media? Ms. @LekuruAnnet giving keynote speech at the ongoing dialogue on gender media and inclusion. #WomenInMedia

Grateful to @uwonet for such a powerful engagement that not only fostered critical discussions but also gave me the opportunity to connect with my @MWFAlumniUganda mentor, Hon. @flaviakalule that has been a great inspiration—her guidance even motivated me to contest as President.
