An open letter to the children Luna stood for. I hope it is shared widely so it can be read by as many of those impacted by parental suicide as possible, as well as their families and those working to support them. #passthelight

It’s a wrap! Finished opening keynote for StandBy Online Postvention Symposium 🇦🇺 at 01:30hrs local and making a beeline for bed. Great full circle moment sharing learnings from @teamlunaorg with a key Australian organisation that inspired me on my @ChurchillFship travels in 2019

A bittersweet day today on Luna Foundation’s third and final birthday. We’ve achieved a huge amount these past three years and today was a moment to reflect on the progress we’ve made for children who experience the death of a parent through suicide.

Delighted to featured in this Changemaker video to mark 60 years of @ChurchillFship highlighting our work at @teamlunaorg to improve support for children after a parent dies by suicide.
After losing her father to suicide as a child, @annawardley saw the lack of support for young people in the same situation With her Fellowship & a pilot Activate Fund grant, she launched a social enterprise to train professionals supporting bereaved children Watch her story 👇

Wonderful to be able to share about the work we've been doing at @teamlunaorg to improve the support for children who lose a parent to suicide, and to get down to the beach for some sea air.

A great start to the week filming with the team from Bounce Video. I'm thrilled to be part of such an exciting and inspiring project. It's under wraps for the moment, but I can't wait to share more as soon as I'm able to. Stay tuned for updates in the new year. #BehindTheScenes

This morning, @annawardley, founder and CEO of @teamlunaorg, was on @BBCRadioSolent sharing her advice for taking on big challenges like their #1000mile swim. Anna is part of the #SDMNetwork. Hear Anna's top tips from 2'21 https://t.co/Gk0Zcihm8h
🧵 My top tips for the @BBCRadioSolent team taking on the #1000mile challenge: 1/ Break it down into chunks. Don’t think about the full distance, especially at the outset, to avoid being overwhelmed by the magnitude of the challenge ahead. Focus on swimming to the next feed.

@BBCRadioSolent 5/ Finally, train hard and swim easy. If you put the hours and the effort into preparing for the swim, the challenge itself will be the straightforward bit. My training regime before a challenge is gruelling to make sure I’m prepared physically, but more importantly, mentally.

@BBCRadioSolent 4/ Refuel and hydrate regularly during training and the challenge. Prepare treats and rewards that will motivate you when you’re digging deep. I love fresh mango and Tunnocks chocolate tea cakes so they are always on the menu for long swims.

@BBCRadioSolent 3/ When you are struggling or experiencing discomfort, shift your attention away from yourself to all those who will benefit from your efforts. Your discomfort is temporary and impermanent but your efforts will make a huge difference for many children in need, so keep going.

@BBCRadioSolent Focus on what you can control and don’t waste energy on the things you can’t. Your mindset is 100% in your control and your most powerful tool so when training practice replacing negative thoughts with positive ones, and this will significantly boost your performance. 🚀
