I’ve only ever used Twitter to endorse the good but now that it’s owned by a man who believes in conspiracy theories and encourages negativity, it’s time to delete the little blue bird. Goodbye.

Nikki Shiels is stunning in MTC’s production of ‘Girls & boys’. And who said men can’t write about women? Dennis Kelly has done a powerful job in telling this story of love and heartbreak.

Frances O’Conner has done a beautiful job in re-imagining Emily Brontë. A film worth seeing for it’s heart & heartbreak.

How lucky is Melbourne? Or rather, how lucky am I? 3 entertaining musicals in 3 weeks. With 3 fabulously talented Australian casts. #9to5AU #sixthemusicalau #hairspray

I hope the wonderful singers & great band in the Joni Mitchell tribute concert Both Sides Now put out that old-fashioned item - a CD. I really want to own those extraordinary sounds

Even if you’ve seen Hamlet once or twice or 10 times, it’s worth seeing Harriet Gordon-Anderson in the role. She owns the words & the part

At last. My twice cancelled trip to Japan is back on (I hope). A great-sounding Art Tour run by Rika at Kuroko Tours. There’s still room on this small group tour in October.

Great opening night of Hamilton in Melbourne. And it’s got a song written by Putin - “I will kill your friends & family to remind you of my love”

Completely engrossing bi-lingual production with impressive performances by Jana Zvedeniuk as Yentl & Evelyn Krape as The Evil Inclination.

How civilised. Yarra Trams didn’t bother to provide a seat but a kindly neighbour did

Finally saw Quo Vadis, Aida? Set in Srebrenic less than 30 years ago. Why don’t we remember the brutality & futility of war? Why do (some) men think that mass murder resolves differences? Must see film in this current time of crisis in Ukraine

Pam Kleemann’s wonderful mo-hair suit and the marketing team around last year’s Movembet campaign has just won a Gold Medal in the @SpikesAsia Awards for creativity & marketing effectiveness in the Asia-Pacific Bravo to all concerned.

I hope that MTC’s Fun Home is sold out - because it deserves to be. Great family drama in the form of a musical. But if it’s not sold out then GO! A moving & engaging night out
