Our characters use "gestural" vertex colors: big blocks of gradients and hard edges that loosely gesture at details, which helps them not appear over-detailed, as they're seen small in-game. We're proud of the old sailor who has a lot of personality packed into minimal geometry!

During the all boss challenge, combo meter carries over between fights! Uh oh! Talk about a design decision with ramifications! Go for high scores for the ultimate challenge...strategically farm combo during some fights to maximize gains in later fights...the nightmare is endless
Finished adding the boss-rechallenge mode for Angeline Era! You can play for time, but it's much weirder (and hard) to play for score, which pushes the combat into strange playstyles - trying to maximize combo while still winning quickly, as your base score decreases over time.
