The front page of tomorrow's @dailytarheel – I shed many tears while typing up these heart-wrenching text messages sent and received by UNC students yesterday. Our campus was on lockdown for more than three hours. Beyond proud of this cover and the team behind it.

Incredible moment before the @BrevardBball/ @RosmanTigers game. The player formerly known as Jaylen Carver revealed to his step-father, JC Brown that he has legally changed his last name to Brown. Letter jacket, senior banner, and most importantly - the paperwork.

Big shout out to the photo editors who say or text you "good job" or "nice work" or otherwise acknowledge you after you've photographed an assignment for them. It's a very small sign of respect — and I eat it up every time (because it's so rare!). So thanks. You know who you are.
