Will be very curious to see if PEI will ever be available to fund a broader range of clinical/direct services, which schools will tell you are still a huge need for which they receive little (Special Ed) to no (non SPED) funds for. An important policy question for Sacto

Interesting to hear the admission today that PEI (which was administratively challenged in funding a few intensive evidence based clinical practices w few clinicians trained) is now moving toward its intended goal of systems building.

Prevention & Early Intervention (PEI) #MHSA is where majority of funding available for community-school partnerships comes from. The proposed plan moves away from providing clinical services w this $ in agencies, and toward expand community based access, such as community schools

Important headline for LA County’s #MHSA funds - a structural move away from slot-based services to team based model, with the goal of increasing overall number of clients.
