Steady flow of fire trucks from across the state have been arriving to a corn oil storage tank on fire near Terminal Road in Providence. We just saw US Air Force FD and Smithfield FD arrive in the last few mins. @wpri12

A large tank is on fire on Terminal Rd in Providence. Calls came out over the scanner to this same area earlier for issues with a cap being blown off due to a pressure issue.

Flames continue to shoot out of this tank on Terminal Rd in Providence. A foam task force vehicle just arrived. Terminal Rd has been closed to any through traffic as crews work to get this fire under control. @wpri12 @alextpnews

UPDATE: The fire is under control after reaching “general alarm” status earlier. Crews are now extinguishing hot spots inside. NBFD Chief Kruger says there are no reports of any injuries. Crews did not find anyone inside the building during their initial searches. @wpri12

NEW BEDFORD: Large warehouse on fire on Belleville Rd in New Bedford. A neighbor took this video shortly after calling 911. The fire appears to have started in an attached structure on the ground level and later spread up the exterior wall. @wpri12

Overheard on the scanner: Warwick PD involved in a high speed pursuit of an erratic driver on Warwick Ave towards Cranston/Providence. Chase was called off when speeds reached 100mph. Possibly connected to multiple false reports of fires called in around the city minutes earlier.
