A National Audit Office (NAO) report found that @HMRCgovuk has underestimated the level of noncompliance by wealthy individuals after the U.K. tax authority collected far more revenue from that cohort than expected. More from @santhiegoundar: https://t.co/saF1EX5nKx

Really useful graphic explaining some of the key misunderstood issues linked to Inheritance Tax
Inheritance Tax is much-discussed, much-feared and much-misunderstood. Most SHOULDN'T worry about it, as only 94% of estates ever have to pay it. And even if you DO have to pay, it's still possible to legally avoid huge swathes of it. More info: https://t.co/H1bp4LPrjT

So what was the tax scheme that bankrupted Frankie Dettori, and who is the unnamed adviser who sold it to him? And why should we feel (slightly) sorry for Dettori? Quick thread.

As I said to @BBCBreakfast government *isn’t* proposing reform. It’s cuts. The @DWPgovuk has a genuine plan for reform to help more people get support, healthcare & work when they can. @hmtreasury driving the opposite. Cruel & counterproductive cuts for short term savings.
🗣️ "We are very worried and appalled" Our Director of Policy, Research & Impact, Helen Barnard spoke to @BBCBreakfast about the UK government's plans to cut vital disability support.
