At the suggestion of @backpackerraden here is a thread of all my Reg H guides! So far I’ve done: Archaludon, Indeedee-Sneasler, MausApe, P2 Ursaluna and Dnite Sneasler! And I’ll update this with Volcarona Rillaboom, Jumpluff Sun, Sand, Whims HO and more!

This guy would’ve actually been so good in Reg H it’s making me sad he isn’t in the SV dex

Look I love and am forever indebted to the Showdown Staff but what happened to my guy? He lost his swag. He looks like stacks no paper.

Hope you like the team! It was super fun and I was really surprised at how much work Mimikyu put in! If you liked the thread make sure to follow so you can see my Avalugg-Hisui war story next week 😂☠️

What the team struggled with: I lost 12 of my first 45 games. 6 were to missed scale shot or play rough, 3 were to Dozo Switching was often akward cause you want to preserve all the “sashes” But overall the team was really strong Bo1 and I think could be adapted for Bo3! (9/10)

What the team did well: this team is the best team at countering opposing Bo1 Cheese such as Surprise Teras weakness policies etc. When I lead well this team had positive matchups into damn near everything (8/10)

And then the other mons I brought the most we’re probably Sneasler + Archaludon and they both felt really solid AV Incin was definitely really important for some matchups, Bloodmoon was strong but definitely the least brought/most replaceable (7/10)

And Mimikyu put in a lot of work! Curse is the Anti-Dozo button, but if you had another Dozo answer protect is busted too. When I had protect I drew so many double ups Fast Life Orb Shadow Claw and Play Rough is goated coverage (6/10)

And this team has a lot of surprises! The MVP was Inner Focus 3 Attack Dnite. I think that Inner Focus Dnite is worth exploring for Bo3 too though So much Dnite counterplay nowadays relies on Intimidate, Fake Out, and lack of coverage. This beats all 3 (5/10)

Dnite basically always used Tera anyways so that gave me my “4 Sashes” which I rounded out with AV Incineroar and Silk Scarf Bloodmoon And the team felt really good! It felt bulky AND Fast AND Heavy Hitting thanks to basically being able to go 252/252 on everything (4/10)

So I thought it would be fun to use a team to give me as many “focus sashes” as possible. So Disguise on Mimikyu, Sturdy Archaludon, Multiscale on Dragonite, and then Sash Unburden Sneasler I realized that I was a bit intimidate weak so I switched Dnite to Inner Focus (3/10)

First off here’s the paste with EVs: https://t.co/Exucnw7ll1 So when I looked at Mimikyu 3 things stuck out to me 1. Base 97 Speed outspeeds most of Reg H 2. Fairy Ghost is an amazing typing into a bunch of Top mons 3. Disguise basically gives me a “free focus sash” (2/10)

Showdown Spotlight #2: Mimikyu! My local scene is doing a teambuilding challenge and the mon we all used last week was Mimikyu! I went 32-13 to hit 1500 Bo1 SD but quickly climbed to 1600! It’s got some sauce worth bringing to a GC for sure! Lemme yap about it! (1/10)

I really wanna make guides for the new Mega Pokemon but: A: We have no idea about abilities or movepools for use in Champions B: We have no idea about the mons that will even be present in the 1st Champions format So it’d be basically worthless

I just realized that you can run Mega Gengar on Dondozo Tatsugiri teams in Champions ☠️

Okay so after hours of research, I’m still gonna need another week for my thread on countering the @Lele_Briganti team Turns out that team is pretty good…🙃

Didn’t realize that many people were interested in the team. Here’s the rental for it. Please stop crediting me for the team though. I did not make this team, it was all the genius of @TheGoldenCosmos, I was just the pilot. Rental: NPBF6L Paste: https://t.co/POpISXoYJN
This might be the most proud I’ve been with a tournament despite going 7-5 because I did this one all myself. No one helped me really & I took a major risk running it back from Pittsburgh with zero changes because I still believed in this team. The team is cracked. Paste below⬇️

Hope you liked the thread! If you do make sure to subscribe for more cause this week I’m doing a thread on how to beat the “Lele” team (these 6 mons here) peace ✌️

And that’s the team! It’s so cool and I’m so glad that ESM was able to get a top 32 with it! In conclusion if you wanna cook off meta sauce remember to: 1. Test, test, and test some more 2. Try different starting points 3. Layer answers to meta threats! (14/15)
