Consider this my petition to have Ohio State wear a helmet decal honoring Dwayne Haskins during next week's spring game – and quite possibly the entire 2022 season:
Seemingly fighting back tears while on set, former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer — now with FOX Sports — sings Carmen Ohio ahead of the Buckeyes’ game with Wisconsin:
The NFL is paying tribute to college football’s 150th anniversary by allowing players to wear their alma mater’s logo on their helmet during Monday Night Football:
Hundreds of police cars are traveling southbound on Route 315 in Columbus in honor of fallen Westerville officers Anthony Morelli and Eric Joering. Such a powerful scene:
Can confirm Ohio State will be wearing the home version of its 1968 throwback uniforms with the Diamond Quest Nike Swoosh for the Fiesta Bowl against Clemson, the inverse of the last time the two teams met.
Zach Wilson: *makes a good throw at his pro day*
NFL media: “He should be the No. 2 overall pick!”
Justin Fields: *makes a better throw at his pro day*
NFL media: *silence*
Ohio State has replaced the three-dimensional B1G bumper on the front of its helmets with the Rose Bowl logo, and it’s arguably the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen:
There are fewer days between now and Ohio State's 2027 matchup with Alabama (2,648 days) than there are between now and Ohio State's last loss to Michigan (3,127 days).
Running back J.K. Dobbins, much to his surprise, was named the Most Valuable Player of the Big Ten Championship. The freshman went for 147 yards against the top-raked rushing defense in the country.
If we're being honest, it doesn't really matter where Ohio State is right now. Win out against No. 8 Penn State, No. 9 Michigan State, No. 7 Michigan and (presumably) No. 2 Iowa and the Buckeyes are in the College Football Playoff.
I don’t remember Kirk Herbstreit taking shots at Jabrill Peppers for being completely removed from the play by Mike Weber while Curtis Samuel galloped into the end zone in 2016.
If I'm Ohio State, I'm using yesterday as a blueprint and scheduling a premier non-conference game for the opening weekend of every other season. Having all of the Buckeyes in the NFL back on campus and mingling with recruits against that backdrop creates an unmatched atmosphere.
Consider this my petition for Ohio State to wear a helmet decal on Saturday in honor of the three Virginia football players who were shot and killed last weekend:
On one hand, I don't believe Ohio State deserves to make the College Football Playoff after last week. On the other, I think the Buckeyes are going to somehow win it all.
I’m not one to “blame the media” for pushing their respective agendas, but the downright disrespect for Dwayne Haskins and neglect to acknowledge him as a legitimate Heisman Trophy finalist is simply unbelievable.
One hell of a career for Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett. Thirty-three school records, five conference records, a national championship and two New Year's Six bowl wins:
Chris Holtmann just won an NCAA Tournament game with duct tape and bubble gum. Just imagine how good Ohio State will be when he gets his own recruits to Columbus.
Sources tell me Ohio State is set to unveil an all-white uniform, similar to the Nike Rivalry set worn in wins at Michigan and Penn State in 2013 and 2014, respectively, but with the standard helmet and striping pattern.
Michigan cancelled a home-and-home series with UCLA to guarantee itself a seventh home game, which is sad because that’s the only opportunity those players had of playing in the Rose Bowl.
C.J. Stroud was last player off the field following Ohio State’s Student Appreciation Day. Took a picture with and autographed something for seemingly every student in attendance.
Notre Dame should be banned from the playoff until it joins (and wins) a conference. This should have been the ACC championship, not a national semifinal.
Wyatt Davis could have been a first-round pick in April but came back for one final shot at a national championship. That turned into him saying he would sacrifice anything to play just one more snap for the Buckeyes.
The Big Ten let him down, plain and simple.
On This Date In Ohio State History – Jan. 3, 2003 – Ohio State won its first national championship in 34 years with a 31-24, double-overtime victory over Miami in the Fiesta Bowl, ending the Hurricanes’ 34-game winning streak.

This was Jim Harbaugh’s best team at Michigan. He had his quarterback, his defense was great and Ohio State looked mediocre all year. If he can’t beat the Buckeyes under those circumstances, I’m starting to think it’s never going to happen.
Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud is among the handful of players testing out the new Riddell Axiom helmet during spring practice. Notice how it doesn't have the top bar of the facemask and has the visor installed directly into the shell:
On This Date In Ohio State History – Dec. 6, 2014 – Cardale Jones threw for 257 yards and three touchdowns in his first-career start to lead No. 5 Ohio State to a 59-0 win over No. 11 Wisconsin in the Big Ten Championship Game.

With its win over Clemson, Ohio State now has the highest winning percentage in Football Bowl Subdivision history at 73.09% (931-326-53 overall).

Ohio State five-star wide receiver signee Garrett Wilson (

) was named the 2019 All-American Bowl Man of the Year this evening. The award is presented to the nation’s top senior football player for his athletic excellence and community outreach.
I know they are undefeated, but it’s worth noting Notre Dame’s best wins are a season-opening seven-point win against Michigan and a 10-point win at Northwestern. Ohio State has a chance to blow out both on back-to-back weekends.
If Ryan Day was born on third base, does this mean Jim Harbaugh got walked during COVID, stole second and third in 2021 and 2022 and then got caught stealing home in 2023?
Ohio State and Michigan need to adopt the SEC's policy of cupcakes before rivalry week because today has been unsettling for two teams clearly looking ahead.
These Michigan coaches sound like me the first time I beat my dad at one-on-one in the driveway. He damn near knocked my ass out the next time we played.
