Finally carved out some time away from lab to explore urban photography. These are a few shots of healthcare and research buildings in downtown Phoenix. Still learning, but loving the process and the play of light, shadow, and lines.

@VPrasadMDMPH no clinical trial is perfect, but calling this a waste is an insult to the patients who participate in research to advance medicine. These individuals enroll because existing treatments have failed them, and they want to contribute to finding better options.

Pediatric cancer is a global crisis. In HICs, survival rates exceed 80%, but in low-resource settings, many children lack access to life-saving therapy. This moment, painful as it is, presents a chance to shift our gaze. But we wonât take the chance if we canât really see it, and we canât see it if we donât think we are as unjust in our ways as we really are. That, for me, is the question. Do we really think things are unjust?

Amazing list! These books are especially important as we navigate current global health challenges and the systemic obstacles that perpetuate inequity. Dr. Farmerâs insights remain as vital as ever.
Paul Farmer was a relentless advocate for global health equity, dedicating his life to ensuring healthcare reached the most vulnerable. His work explored how poverty, inequality, and social structures perpetuate illness, redefining global health as a fight for justice. đ (1/4)

Could not agree more. Why donât most people worry about polio today? Because life-saving vaccines nearly eradicated it. Vaccines have saved countless lives and spared families unthinkable grief. Letâs not take their impact for granted.
Itâs easy to criticize vaccines when youâve never had to bury a child lost to measles. Itâs easy to push âimmune-boosting smoothiesâ when you live with clean water, plumbing, & modern sanitation. 1/

Tragic but true @paimadhu. Disinformation outpaces the truth, fueling fear and eroding trust in medicine. The Lancetâs new editorial warns that fact-checking alone isnât enoughâwe need systemic solutions and empathy-driven communication. Science, trust, & our health depend on it.
