I’ve tried to stay moderate and measured in how I speak about politics on here. But this administration’s assault on higher ed, research, and immigrant students has made that position untenable. What’s happening at Harvard isn’t isolated—it’s a warning. https://t.co/kFTaRyM8S9

Finally carved out some time away from lab to explore urban photography. These are a few shots of healthcare and research buildings in downtown Phoenix. Still learning, but loving the process and the play of light, shadow, and lines.

@VPrasadMDMPH no clinical trial is perfect, but calling this a waste is an insult to the patients who participate in research to advance medicine. These individuals enroll because existing treatments have failed them, and they want to contribute to finding better options.

The @WHO CureAll Initiative has been essential in improving pediatric cancer care globally, expanding access to diagnosis & treatment. We must protect the progress made & ensure these efforts continue reaching every child in need. (2/3) #WorldCancerDay2025 https://t.co/4GKpYfUQnv

Pediatric cancer is a global crisis. In HICs, survival rates exceed 80%, but in low-resource settings, many children lack access to life-saving therapy. This #WorldCancerDay2025 let us push for increased funding, research & policy-driven solutions. (1/3) https://t.co/LC24buMBaP

This moment, painful as it is, presents a chance to shift our gaze. But we won’t take the chance if we can’t really see it, and we can’t see it if we don’t think we are as unjust in our ways as we really are. That, for me, is the question. Do we really think things are unjust?

James Baldwin’s The Fire Next Time offers timeless insights into race and systemic inequities—crucial for those in medicine committed to tackling health disparities locally and abroad. I reflected on its relevance in a review for the @dailywildcat. https://t.co/Yp5WtILcgA

Could not agree more. Why don’t most people worry about polio today? Because life-saving vaccines nearly eradicated it. Vaccines have saved countless lives and spared families unthinkable grief. Let’s not take their impact for granted.

It’s easy to criticize vaccines when you’ve never had to bury a child lost to measles. It’s easy to push “immune-boosting smoothies” when you live with clean water, plumbing, & modern sanitation. 1/

Tragic but true @paimadhu. Disinformation outpaces the truth, fueling fear and eroding trust in medicine. The Lancet’s new editorial warns that fact-checking alone isn’t enough—we need systemic solutions and empathy-driven communication. Science, trust, & our health depend on it.
