ChatGPT will likely play out exactly as innovator’s dilemma suggests. To an expert in any given field, it has worse answers. But most people don’t have access to experts for everything, so it actually is a productivity boost to everyone else.

I’m afraid of 2) which seems inevitable considering large companies with terabytes of public/private data… Most people will be poor, and swayed by silly distractions ⚽️

Here are some risks of AI I see in no particular order: 1) Loss of human values and morales 2) Concentration of wealth and power in the hands of a few 3) Loss of control due to not understandable AI 4) Bias and discrimination Among others…

Unpopular opinion: Human intelligence is not that unique and exceptional, intelligence replication by machines is closer than most think (imo).

People should know about it, AI’s capabilities and limitations, so that we, as a society, can discuss and decide the legislation and regulation on the use of these agents.

Exciting progress in AI these days, but let's not ignore the potential risks. The press is not covering this enough, people (at least in my circle) doesn’t even know about the existence of such powerful AI agents. #AI #technology #risks

Last day at #NeurIPS! It's been an incredible week full of inspiring talks and groundbreaking research. Looking forward to seeing what the future holds for this field. #AI #ML

There are some negative consequences too, let me explain it with a couple of examples: 1) Teachers not noticing that their students use GPT-like models to cheat on all kind of essays. 2) Code generation creating lazy and overconfident programmers that blindly trust GPT.

What chatGPT has achieved is really fascinating. I think this could have enormous consequences in a few months/years. Future apps will incorporate some kind of Large Language Model (as GPT) to enhance communication and customer services.
