Tbh the main story ends rather abruptly, before Dante and Lady even reunite again. And I really miss the option to bother Lady at the bar (in the global vers I can only talk to NPCs). However, the side quests continue the narrative and provide even more unexpected crumbs.

Dante and Lady separate again for their own quests, teaming up with other characters. Still the Red Devil rents free in Lady's head, and she even shares some details of his complex biography.

It seems even the smell of blood - the famous turn off - no longer bothers Lady as much as before. She barely acknowledges it, not breaking her business mod, and continues to stay close by Dante's side.

But back to the grimm working life. When Dante is too late to save the day, Lady, noticing his remorse, tries to console him by sharing the blame. Although her approach still leaves much to be desired.

Besides Valentine's Day, it seems that Lady knows how to make any holiday special for Dante.

The chara skins continue to add the fuel. Lady has only one person she wants to take to the party; and Dante, even if he isn't into the outfit she chose for him, wears it anyway for her. The skin's name "Best romance" and availability for the Valentine's Day are cherry on top

Dante's example is truly contagious. Now Lady shares his love for fancy Spanish words.

Stepping aside from the main storyline for a sec - PoC really likes to nod to the original games. E.g. now you know that Lady's first impression of Dante wasn't as bad as it might seem. In fact, his silly antics charmed her a little.

The cutscene seems to reference the 2007 anime, showing Lady's love for billiards. She feels absolutely at home in the office (well, she lives there as we know from the CN version) and even fixes Dante's jukebox with one lucky strike, playfully winking at her struggling partner.

The trust between them is evident when Dante reads his twin's note to Lady aloud, and then even hands her the paper for further examination.

Both hunters return to the office, and Lady shares her findings. A message from Vergil looks suspicious for both of them, and they immediately decide to take some measures.

Grumpy Dante complies with Lady's demands, but the bartender, Zorro, suddenly refuses to accept any money. Instead, he offers an SMG as a gift — in gratitude for saving his bar. Lady immediately claims the weapon for herself, Dante merely rolls his eyes but lets her have her way.

At the end of ch 1, karma finally catches up with Dante. Lady presses a drink bill against his chest, taking the hunter off guard. But just as he attempts to cover her hand with his own, the girl breaks the tension and— giving him a push —walks right past him.
